RICON's History
RICON was founded in 1964, and moved to Downer's Grove, IL in August 1965.
RICON was originally a partnership set up by my father, Jack Connell, and his partner Richard Kropski (Rick) to provide computer data processing services for businesses. RICON (then pronounced "Rick-On", now it's "Ry-con") employed computer programmers, operators, data entry keypunchers, and other office personnel. Lien Chemical, Inc. was one of our first big clients.
RICON has grown from a punch card data processing company to a professional, multi-faceted information technology provider; yet we have never lost the strong work ethic on which we were founded.
